I love it when things I ordered months ago suddenly turn up in the post!  Such as today, when this suddenly arrived out of the blue.

Yes, that is Cloud Strife and Sephiroth Eau de toilette.  *____*

I've had a whiff of Cloud's Eau de toilette before courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] ka0richan, it is really quite nice!  Though my olfactory senses are not particularly experienced or refined, I shall attempt to describe.  Cloud's is more of a traditional musk, reminiscent of talcum powder, with just a hint of what could be vanilla and coconut thrown in.  Sephiroth's is decidedly sharper, spicy, and even a bit metallic on the first whiff.

akahfkjshfjkshf, GUYS, THIS HAS MADE ME KIND OF FANGIRLY AND STUPID.  I MEAN, MORE THAN USUAL.  Oh Square, you treat us too well~

They totally smell really good mixed together, too, by the way. Very complimentary.

I have reached new lows heights in my rhythm game obsession!

Today, in the post, arrived my DJ Max Hot Tunes Limited Edition.

And let's just say, Pentavision knows how to do Limited Editions.

I was not expecting, for example, this magnificently huge wooden box.  It's a damn nice wooden box, too.  Nicer material than my go board. o_o  I am already having to beat off my flatmate who wants to either paint it or steal it for art supplies.

Did I just write an unboxing post? )

You know how normally people say the worst part about a trip is the unpacking?  Untrue.  So far I've spent this evening sorting out the last of my souveniers from Japan.  MY BOOKCASE IS NOW COMPLETE!

Ryoma is from last year, Hitsugaya is new from K-Books.  *___*  I'm very proud of it for some illogical reason, so wanted to show it off.

I mostly brought back soundtracks and CDs from my travel, but among the prizes still hidden at the bottom of the suitcase was one other cool piece of merch -  KATEKYO HITMAN REBORN TOWEL!  \o/

I can now dry my body with the Vongola Guardians.  Good times.

I'm curious - what's the one piece of merchandise you've always wanted but doesn't exist?  Drop it in the comments!  I've always wanted a Luma cushion (those stars from Super Mario Galaxy).  Or anything Bokurano.  I'd settle for a poster of that.

Just to jump on the bandwagon, I loved the new Star Trek movie to pieces.  But let's not forget that Star Wars is still cool!

I'll do a proper post again soon, promise.  Just as soon as real life has stopped being such an attention-whore.  :3

Never mind that I haven't been keeping up with this series.  I could not resist these figurines when I saw them, even though Supanova is coming up and they'll probably be cheaper there.

Trading figures are so dangerous normally, but the two I bought were Ciel and Sebastian.  *___*  I wouldn't have minded a Madam Red either, but decided not to push my good fortune.

Amazingly detailed for their scale!  Square-Enix Products, you have my approval. ladsfjlskfjsalkjf I am running out of flat spaces to put figurines.

They had the full set in the window for a horrendous price.  GUYS, THE SECRET FIGURE IS CIEL IN THE VICTORIAN DRESS. BEST SECRET FIGURE EVER.

It's been a bit quiet on here lately!  That's because I've been off in Japan having ADVENTURES!  It was so awesome that it is a wonder my head did not explode from the awesomeness.  I pretty much spent the entire time on an adrenaline high that was heavily propped up by an excess intake of sugar.

A great deal of money was spent.  Here's just a sampling of all the crap I brought back:

There were a few more doujinshi and some more soundtracks as well as foodstuffs.  It was sort of crazy!  I got a Ryoma bath towel!  Also very much appreciated that the vast majority of official tenipuri merchandise had Ryoma and Tezuka together.  AS IT SHOULD BE.

Also, so true about the price of DVDs in Japan!  The tenipuri musical DVDs were in the realm of seventy dollars each!  (after conversion).  XD  Thus, I only bought one.  They didn't have Dream Live 3 in stock (they were Animate exclusives, damn them), so I went with the second favourite, Hyotei Myu.  The other DVDs were all found at substantially more reasonable prices at second-hand stores, which in Japan means 'exactly like new, just with different shrinkwrap'.

I'm going to do a big write up in several chunks over the next few days with a heap of pictures. (It IS called livejournal, after all, so...)  Kept a journal while I travelled around; I'll probably mostly just transcribe from that so that I can actually read it myself in a more legible format.  XD  So... did I miss anything on LJ?

Today I saw the most crazy eclectic piece of anime merchandise I had seen yet, and thus, HAD to buy it.

BEHOLD!  A CODE GEASS RUBIKS CUBE:

This had to turn up right when I'm supposed to be saving money, too.  T_T  At least it was pretty cheap.  And also probably highly unofficial, as the edges are sharp and the shop I bought it from has lots of dodgy Hong Kong rip off merchandise.  Although a Code Geass Rubiks Cube is strangely appropriate, though perhaps a Death Note one would be even MORE SO?

This goes squarely into the 'what was I thinking' pile of merchandise.  Normally Rubiks Cubes are fun, but this one would probably cut your hands to ribbons. The real question is - what's the next frontier?  I'd like to see Tenipuri Monopoly.  OH HEY, wasn't someone already doing that?
