I love it when things I ordered months ago suddenly turn up in the post! Such as today, when this suddenly arrived out of the blue.

Yes, that is Cloud Strife and Sephiroth Eau de toilette. *____*
I've had a whiff of Cloud's Eau de toilette before courtesy of
ka0richan, it is really quite nice! Though my olfactory senses are not particularly experienced or refined, I shall attempt to describe. Cloud's is more of a traditional musk, reminiscent of talcum powder, with just a hint of what could be vanilla and coconut thrown in. Sephiroth's is decidedly sharper, spicy, and even a bit metallic on the first whiff.
akahfkjshfjkshf, GUYS, THIS HAS MADE ME KIND OF FANGIRLY AND STUPID. I MEAN, MORE THAN USUAL. Oh Square, you treat us too well~
They totally smell really good mixed together, too, by the way. Very complimentary.

Date: 2010-09-01 02:09 pm (UTC)And on going on the topic of the FF stuff, I was crushed when they stopped selling the potion bottles, granted the liquid inside were disgusting, but the p-potions, ;A;
I think they were energy drinks?btw your pillar pair fic, the one with Ryoma getting tossed out by Nanjiroh? It made me cry ;A; and it was also wonderful too ♥ ♥

Date: 2010-09-02 08:51 am (UTC)They still sell potions! They release a new one for each game. The FFXIII potions were disgusting, though. The Dissidia ones, on the other hand, were delicious and somewhat addictive. Darn Japan and them actually meaning it when something is 'limited edition'.
D: Des! Why are you reading back catalogue of old awful fic! *cringes* Please to not be reading anything written in 2009. :| (Thank you, though. ^_^; Um, sorry about the crying bit.)

Oh and just to be clear I am not jealous in the slightest. It's not like I'm poor or anything and can't afford such things and I'm totally NOT not prone to getting migraines when I so much as sniff such things... Not jealous. Not in the slightest.
Oh again, I noticed you've been posting Fifth Act over at FF.net so I figure I'll wait until you post chapter 35, then I'll post my secondary fanfic if that's okay.

Date: 2010-09-02 09:08 am (UTC)Of course it's okay! It's your fanfic - you could have posted it whenever you want. I only hope you're able to perform those fancy font tricks on FFnet, too.

Also, I love that you actually described what they smell like.♥
And-and-and. That sounds like the most perfect scent for either of them-- both of them-- EVER.
also SQUEE THEY SMELL GOOD TOGETHER yay~no subject
Date: 2010-09-05 04:32 am (UTC)Weren't they like, $70 each? Eeep!
They made Cloud and Sephy aroma therapy candles too. Just throwing that out there. lol.
I've had conversations with my friends about what these would smell like. We decided Cloud's would smell like either motor grease, hair gel, chocobo poo, dirt, blood, or any combination of the above, and Sephy's would smell like smoke or blood, or both.
Where does COCONUT come from? Cloud must be spending too much time in his Costa del Sol villa. . .

Date: 2010-09-05 01:43 pm (UTC)Ha ha, I've been hearing about these candles! But no, I think I've been silly enough already.
NO REGRETS. I wonder how long it will take Square to realise that they could theme almost anything FFVII-related and it will sell like hotcakes.Maybe we've stumbled across Cloud's favourite snack?! :O

Date: 2010-09-05 01:44 pm (UTC)Thinking Hojo had something to do with this...XD Square out-cracked us all when we weren't looking!
I... erm... I DON'T KNOW
Date: 2010-09-05 03:41 pm (UTC)He’d stopped whirling around, huge blade at ready, after the first three days because there was never anything to see. He’d startled Zack into inhaling a good mouthful of coffee and hacking himself purple in the face before he’d resigned himself to the fact that the man was too good at hiding and it wouldn’t be until he was wound up tighter than Tifa’s biological clock with paranoia that he would feel the presence itching across his shoulder blades again.
Sephiroth was stalking him.
Cloud entertained a brief moment of empathy for the small furry creatures whose only warning was an ominous shadow gliding over their heads before their lives ended with a pathetic squeak. He shook his head and stabbed downwards into the last robot. It made a hiccupping squeal before shorting out in a flash of sparks. He’d found himself alone on the 49th floor that morning. Zack was visiting Aerith and Kunsel had only made a weak excuse about having to check up on something, but he’d text him later, before vanishing as well. Hojo hadn’t reared his ugly head today, either, and so Cloud had drifted into the training room and flipped on one of the simulation switches, hoping that killing something would ease the dread that had settled heavily over his shoulders sometime around breakfast.
He stood still in the centre of the room as the holographic desert flickered out.
“What is it that you want?” he said, mostly to himself.
He twitched embarrassingly and brought the collected six-blades around into a semi-crouched guard when the voice, smooth as black ice, responded.
“It’s quite simple. I intended to corner you while you were alone and have my wicked way with you.”
“Your—” the tip of his sword dipped alarmingly. “What?”
Sephiroth’s lips spread in a slow smile as he stepped forward using the rolling gait that struck fear into the hearts of mere mortals. Cloud’s vision briefly blurred as a towering black wing appeared over the man’s shoulder and the ruins of Shinra Tower flickered into the corners of his eyes. He blinked rapidly, expecting the sharp sting in his left shoulder at any moment.
What Sephiroth actually said was “Do you believe in love at first sight?”
Cloud’s double vision cleared, leaving a wingless Sephiroth standing in the training room before him, the tip of First Tsurugi a hair’s breadth away from his chest.
Sephiroth raised a hand, the creak of leather filling the room, and slowly but inexorably pushed the sword out and away from between them. He stepped forward again, and Cloud quickly weighed his chances, fighting the instant urge to leap away. If he jumped to that wall there and twisted to propel himself over Sephiroth’s head like that—
“Or, I suppose, love at first clash in our case.”
Sephiroth leaned over him and a wisp of silver hair fell free across his cheek and brushed over Cloud’s jaw, bringing with it a... hint of musk?
“You see, Cloud,” said Sephiroth when the blond didn’t seem to be any state to contribute to the conversation, “even our eau de toilette complement each other.”
Sephiroth was the one who had been filching his cologne?
“I’ve thought of a wonderful present for you, Cloud,” Sephiroth said, his lips ghosting over warm skin.
Later, when Sephiroth was watching a gash—courtesy of a point blank Cross Slash—across his chest heal with the maddening itch of overactive mako, he didn’t look up as Genesis flopped gracefully into the seat across from his desk.
“Can you not provoke him for once?”
Sephiroth grinned and toyed idly with a small glass bottle. Scent filled the air.

I mean... You were talking about perfume shipping and then there was a new chapter of Fifth Act and my brain shorted out and when I came to, this had happened. And I know it's excessively cracky and I probably just stole someone's idea and stepped on some toes and it's not even good at all and...
Please... erm... don't hurt me?

Also. Also. I've just realized how bloody many reviews you must get per chapter, and that puts your replying to all my brainless chatter into a whole new light.
... Guilt.

Re: And Anon says
Date: 2010-09-07 11:07 am (UTC)Your reviews are a highlight to reply to! ^_^ They're always original! The vast majority FFnet reviews come in one of five flavours - 'cool story bro', 'yay this thing I wanted to happen happened', 'nooo this thing I didn't want to happen happened', 'This won't be slash, right?' and 'Please make this slash.' So truly. I treasure them. ;)
(Also, I am still laughing to myself over the 'wound up tighter than Tifa's biological clock' line. INSPIRED.)
