Wow.  Um, real life is kind of stressful at the moment.  Not going into any details, more layoffs at work.  :/  Once again I have dodged the chopping knife like a ninja, but some really close friends got the cut this time, lunchtimes have abruptly become lonely.  :(  So I haven't been on chat much this week, sorry!

Given the situation, I've been in desperate need of pick-me-ups, and in my online wanderings, found the coolest thing ever.  AXE COP.  The story written by a 5-year-old.  The art done by his 29-year-old brother.  A RECIPE FOR SUCCESS IF I EVER HEARD ONE.

If that isn't enough awesome, here's something else really cool - teekoness  wrote this amusing little Fifth Act spin-off with Vincent!  (although it could really easily stand on its own).  She also has some other very interesting FFVII fics on the go, you should read those too if you have any sort of fondness for Lazard.  And firedraygon97  has been doing hilarious crack comics in the comments again!  I want a pair of slash goggles!  ....oh wait.

Crap to hear more friends have been laid off! Hopefully the company doesn't go bust or something, by the sounds of how often they seem to be cutting staff. D: *hugs* HANG IN THERE, SIN!

Don't worry if you're not on Y!M P-chan! Some days, even when you have the chance, you just don't feel like it. Besides, there's always phone and e-mail if either of us vanishes for too long. ^_^

Ha ha, yeah, I'm wondering if maybe it's time for a career change? You don't exactly want to be the last one on the sinking ship. But I don't particularly want to burden anybody with that kind of heavy stuff - it was more just a setup for the rest of the post, otherwise I probably wouldn't have bothered mentioning it.

Aww, I'm so sorry about your friends... it's so hard to lose the comfort of having them at work with you :(
It seems like most companies are suffering now rather than last year, they survived on their back-funds in the crisis and now there's nothing left... it seems like it at my office too :\

Thanks, yeah, it's tough but life goes on. I don't think it's exactly financial crisis related, even though that's what they blame it on. More a bubble popped somewhere and we're starting to reap the effects. *HUGS* LUCKY WE HAVE FANDOM. ^_^
