Yet Another Cosplay Journey

sinnatiousWhy do I do this to myself? You think I would have learned after the last cosplay.
Alas, I decided to fill up my busy schedule even further with yet another cosplay attempt. Specifically, Journey.
Sorry for the blurry picture, still getting used to using a camera phone. It hides my shoddy edging anyway.
What can I say? So far my year's games list has read Cave Story+, Theatrhythm, Kingdom Rush, and Journey. I played a couple of other games in between for research, (and Tetris is one of those ongoing obsessions) but every single time I try to go play a new game I wind up replaying/playing more of one of these instead. It's like being a kid with two game cartridges all over again! I must have finally fallen onto the wrong side of the time/money gaming graph.
Not sure how to feel about this cloak! I think I totally botched the measurements for the pattern, it's way too big! I had to stop at the second level of pattern because running out of space. ;__;(But it's my favourite pattern anyway, since it's the playthrough I have the fondest memories of).
The hood is a little bit fail (ugly seams! I have no idea how it went so wrong, I just kind of arrived at it, I was sleep sewing or something and don't have enough fabric left to redo it.) so I'm not going to show a picture of that. Instead, check out the mask! The eyes glow, although in the dark they glow kinda minty blue instead. I'm counting on the fact that I'll be wearing this cosplay mostly in daylight and will just turn the eyes off if I wander into a theatre or anything. I shouldn't be wandering into dark rooms anyway because while I can see through the mask okay dark rooms will turn me blind.
Still have the scarf and body suit left to do. I was super worried for a couple of days there but if I work on it a couple of hours after work each night next week it should be okay! Still cutting it kinda fine but after Kain, not so bad. Fingers crossed there are no disasters with the scarf!
