I'm only peripherally familiar with FFVII, but damn. This fic is just as amazing as I knew it would be. (Although I am slightly saddened that we've only got two chapters to go, heh. I want mooooooore~)

I love the fact that you can see the moment where Sephiroth goesOh fuck. . . . and figures out what's going on with Cloud. It really highlights how not-crazy he is, and the reality of what Cloud's doing, because Sephiroth knows that Cloud's a better fighter than him, and without interference there's no way he's going to get out of this alive. (Of course, Cloud might not have been set off so fast if Sephiroth had managed to say something a little less villain-sounding. Oh Sephiroth, why so socially inept? TT_TT)
