Crisis Core went a long way in providing a human edge to Sephiroth, which might account for the improvement in his characterisation in recent times. It actually made his descent into madness scarier. o__o

Yes! Genesis did have a vision of Minerva! You're the only person to have picked up on that. ^_^ It's not particularly relevant to the story, just a reference to the end of Crisis Core.
